Hiring Program

Gulfstream's Regional Jet Preferential Hiring Program offers on site interviews to students and employees with Gulfstream International Airline and its code share partners. To be scheduled for an interview, please make sure that you fax your resume to Gulfstream Academy at (954) 874-0488. You will also need to complete a summary page.

Candidates will be selected for interview by the hiring airline, though we feel it is likely that all candidates will be interviewed. All interviews will be for the position of first officer in the CRJ, ERJ, Beech 1900D, EMB 120, and Saab 340. Captains and first officers are welcome to interview. There is no total time requirement to interview, although the candidate must have greater than 100 hours in the Beechcraft 1900D or Embraer 120 (FFS included to be eligible).

The interviews will require the candidate to take a 50 question combination Instrument / Commercial / ATP exam without the performance section. Those failing to get 80% or higher on the exam will not receive an interview. The interview will take about 30 minutes and consist of briefing an approach or two, detailing any unusual things about the approach, and several questions relating to aerodynamics, and several HR questions. Results will be known within two weeks from the interview date.

Depending on the airline, there may be no pay while in training and the entire training program is expected to take between 65 and 90 days. Second year pay for first officers is usually in excess of $30,000/year, and captains start at approximately $65K per year.
